150-Inch TV Will Melt Your Brain, Empty Your Wallet and Ruin Your Life

How big is too big? That's the question that must inevitably be asked when anyone sees Panasonic's new 150-inch plasma TV prototype.

This TV is taller than your are. It uses more energy than your washer and dryer, and needs to be carried around on a forklift. If you stand within a few feet of it, it fills your entire field of vision. It induces motion sickness if you're playing video games or watching a movie with lots of action. Even if you stand 20 feet away, it still seems to be the only thing in the room.

Panasonic will begin selling the 150-inch plasma sometime next year, probably for about $140,000.

You missed my point entirely No Name. The people who have that kind of money to drop on a TV are more than likely the profiteers and price gougers from the types of business (and government) that make their money by taking advantage of people and situations as opposed to following fair business practices.
There are people who have to take money out of their food budget to pay inflated gas and medical expenses etc.

Please define what "fair business practices" are and who should come up with this definition.

The only thing wrong is forcing someone at gun point to do something. Everything else is up to the consumer.

This would be a great thing for large gatherings of people.

No one is forcing people to buy them.

Pretty sad that some people can't even afford their mortgages or utility bills right now but Panasonic thinks they are going to run out and purchase a $140,000 television?

Sad thing is, there probably will be someone that would rather have the latest and biggest rather than eat : (
