It didn't take long for my daughter during her stay at the hospital while giving birth, to realize that the medical system is not in her or her newborns best interest.   Fortunately as a result of the less than adequate care given at the hospital,  she has chosen not to get her baby vaccinated.  I am so grateful for Dr. Mercola's advice and data posted on his site.  My grand-daughter is thriving!  She has been exposed to the flu, a couple of colds and has been around crowds several times, since birth...she is now 6 months old and has not had a cold yet...We used flower essences to assit her spiritual self to get grounded into the little body she came into and being an intuitive healer, she communicated with me while still in her mother's womb as to how my daughter could keep her safe from negative vibrational energies while she was still developing.  She was the one who informed me that certain nail polishes had chemicals in them that could cause birth defects!  She has continued to communicte to me while in dreams....how divine....The point is, the babies know that they should not have these vaccines...I have been told this first hand!

I live in Utah where boys with autism are 12.7 in 1000. Utah has had a good reporting system, even if my son was never fully diagnosed. I would propose the rate higher than shown because of non-traditional approaches to medicine that are non-reporting. Nonetheless, that is 1 boy in 79! If that is not epidemic, I don't know what is.

The CDC's study, while fairly representative of the shocking problem of ASDs, was miserable at showing etiology. It is clear that was not even an issue (see safeminds.org).

At the same time, there are numerous ways to benefit the ASD-affected child that are energetic, nutritional, etc. These should be explored widely in attempts to curb the societal impact of this challenge to our educational, medical, psychiatric, governmental, and vocational systems.

Although this is a public health emergency that requires new and better public health management consciousness, the general complaint is to turn the head and cough, because this could cost too much. Furthermore, if a definite correlation could be presented to government, would there finally be a response as there was decades later for the victims of the Nevada nuclear tests in the 50s and 60s?

We can say from past behavior, if the government is to respond to their knowledgeable dumbing down of children (better a millstone be hung from their necks and they be drowned in the depths of the sea), it assuredly will be too little and too late.

It is our job to create a community of wisdom on this issue. We can create legislation and call the CDC to account further for causation. If the CDC won't do it, we must. Further, the FDA must back off on their wishy-washy belief that thimerosal and mercury are not significant neurotoxins to cause ASDs.

On a side note, why is there such a disparity between 12.7 boys and only 2.7 girls of 1000 in Utah? What is it girls have to protect them, or do vaccinators treat boys differently?
